Creative Tuesdays: DIY Glass Terrarium Place Holders (Glass ball)

Ola loves!! Yay for DIY team is back! We all grew up with crystal balls to play with. These simple glass balls we can shake shake to have the snow effect or just a simple overview of miniature houses or places we love to look at from above. These sweet terrarium place holders are definitely sure to add character and personality for any table setting. Whether you are looking for adorable place holders, favors for your wedding guests or plain table decors, they're just the perfect item to keep guests amused with these lil ones! We're sure this DIY is sure to tickle you to the core! So, lets get those tools and get creative!

What you need:

  • Clear Glass Christmas Ornament
  • Mason Jar Lid
  • Moss
  • Sticks
  • Crepe Paper Flower
  • Wine Bottle Cork
  • Thread
  • Place Cards

Lets begin the Tutorial:

Step 1: Firstly, remove the silver hook from the top of the Christmas ornament.
Step 2: Using the mason jar lid as the platform for the glass ball, and to offer some stability while you create.
Step 3: Fill the glass ball with moss and sticks.
Step 4: Get creative by making your own crepe paper flowers to put in the glass ball for a burst of color. You can put any kind of paper flower according your preference or perhaps minature items instead!
Step 5: Seal the hole in the glass ball with a wine cork
Step 6. Simply tie a pretty bow with ribbon or string to attach your place card to the terrarium. and Voila you're done!
Do note that, you can create a different content instead the one we showed above. Some of us enjoy having miniature places overview in a glass ball, some prefer snow effects and some loves intimate garden. Whatever it is, the sky is your creativity and unleash em with this simple easy peasy ways :)
